Bathed in the warm glow of hundreds of candles, the night is filled with the glorious sounds of beautiful music performed by some of BC’s most talented musicians and singers. Either under the stars or in a unique, glowing space, guests are treated to an intimate, romantic, musical sound bath.

Sip hot mulled cider from Soma Cidery surrounded by hundreds of LED candles as you are swept away listening to the sweet sounds of gorgeous Christmas music. Feel the spirit of the season in such a magical way!

Each ticket includes a welcome drink and an individual charcuterie plate. A cash bar will also be available offering wine, cider and non alcoholic beverages. Soma Cidery (formerly Bottega Farm Inn) is one of Kelowna’s most unique venues and produces some of the best handcrafted cider in the Okanagan.

Performers

CARMEN HARRIS, SOPRANO

Hailed by Opera Canada as a singer who is ‘unafraid to go for the emotional jugular’, Carmen Harris completed her Master of Music from the University of Ottawa and her Bachelor of Vocal Performance at the University of Manitoba. Past performances in the Okanagan Valley include Musetta in La bohème and Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with Opera Kelowna and Guenevere in Camelot with the Kelowna Actors Studio. Besides opera, Carmen has been honoured to appear as a soloist with the NACO in Ontario, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra and the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra in British Columbia.

MARK WELLS, BARITONE

After training as a classical singer at McGill University & L’Université de Montréal, Mark returned to Kelowna in 2009 to pursue a career in Education. Still passionate for music and theatre, he is grateful for the privilege to perform. Past stage performances in Kelowna include Pirelli in Sweeney Todd, and The Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods, and the Beast/Prince Adam in Beauty and the Beast (KAS). In opera he performed in various Mozart scenes, taught Viewpoints and Composition, and directed the Marriage of Figaro (Opera Kelowna). He currently teaches grades 5 & 6 at A.S. Matheson Elementary.

The program will be approximately 60 minutes long followed by a 30 minute reception. Each guest will receive an individual charcuterie plate plus a welcome hot mulled cider upon arrival. A cash bar offering wine and non alcoholic drinks will be available throughout the evening until 10PM within the concert space.
